The road out from Lawn Hill was very rough but we eventually got on to some tar and drove to Burketown. We had lunch at the park and Will and I used the exercise park. We found our camp right on the river, it was nice and comfortable and private. The only bad thing was we couldn’t swim because there were crocs and there was mozzies and sand-flies. We got bitten lots of times even though we tried not to. But it was nice and quiet and we could still fish off the bank. We also tried fishing off the jetty and a bridge, but we didn’t catch anything but catfish. We saw an old bore which was spirting out very, very hot water. At night we could see crocs in the water with a torch.
