It was a nice and early start getting picked up just after 7am to begin our day trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound. In a direct line Milford is only 40 or so kms away from Queenstown. Unfortunately the direct line is all mountain so we had to take an alternate route which was a four hour drive there. We woke up to the most amazing weather, not! It was raining and cold and windy and dull, there was also fresh snow on top of the mountains.
