For my birthday I really wanted to go snowboarding and we got the opportunity to do just that today. So at 8am the car was packed and we headed off. Again Mum, Dad and Emily all had the day off so it was a Paki affair.
We got to the mountain, got geared up and were on the slopes by 1pm. Now because I've already been snowboarding once that made me the pro, for the others this was their first time. So I
begin to brief the crew. I had only just started talking about how to stand up when Dad was up and off down the hill, for the rest of the day we would see him cruising past us on the snow or on the chairlifts back up to the top to do it all again. I think Dad may have found his new hobby for next winter. Emily picked it up almost as good as her father, cruising the slopes in a comfortable fashion. Mum even had a go, and she was awesome! Each time she fell over, she got back up, gave it another go and improved every time!! Way to go Mum!!! I tell ya what though, snowboarding is tiring business. So Mum and I hired sleds and took to the slopes. So much fun!! It really was such an awesome day and everyone has the best time, it even snowed while we were on the mountain which was a first for all of us!! Three hours later we were back at home tired after such a full on day. Everyone slept well that night.
