Kya Travels
We woke up this morning, packed again and checked out, then started walking up towards the bus station. We stopped at a pharmacy for some medicine for Darren's migraine then kept walking to the bus. Another very boring bus trip, this one would take us 11 hours! We spent the time sleeping, playing games, listening to music, writing a few postcards and all that kind of boring stuff. We had a quick break a bit over halfway, then as we were getting closer to the end, we had a chat with the drivers, who told us it would probably work out quicker for us to get off the bus in Düsseldorf instead of Essen and get the train from there, so we got off the bus there, grabbed our bags and walked down to the train station. After pressing buttons on the ticket machine and getting really confused, a random man behind us helped us out with finding a ticket which was about half the price of the one we were about to buy! So we got our tickets, found the platform and jumped on the train. I texted Pancho to let them know we were on the train, and about an hour later we finally arrived in Dortmund! We went out the front to where we would meet Pancho and while we were waiting, a girl came up to us asking if we wanted some crystal meth! What the?! We tried to get her to go away, when we saw Pancho and Flo coming up to us with a little cake with candles! The crystal meth girl was Nina, Pancho's girlfriend! They totally got us!! We had a chat for a while, and drank a beer they had bought for us out the front of the station, then Flo had to go, so we said goodbye to him as we wouldn't see him until the weekend. Then I went to give him a high five. Oops... Note to self, high fives make you look like a nazi in Germany!!! As the rest of us were standing there, a weird homeless guy came up and starting talking to us, but in a weird creepy way, so Darren ended up giving him the rest of his beer to get him to leave us alone, then Pancho and Nina grabbed their bikes and we went for a walk down the street. We wandered around the streets having a good chat, and wandered all the way through town and to Pancho's apartment. We met his room mate, Caro, dropped off our bags, then went for another walk down the street to the "Dönner kebab" shop, where we went in for kebabs and felafels. We had a good chat and a laugh over dinner, then walked together to Nina's apartment. On the way there we stopped at a kiosk, which are all over the place, and are tiny little corner stores where you can buy cheap beers! We got a beer each for the road, then when we arrived at Nina's apartment, we met her roommate, Annalie, We had a chat with her for a while and Nina got us some medicine as Darren was getting sick (assumably from the camping) and my hayfever was going mental! After a bit we said goodbye to Nina and her room mate and headed back to Pancho's place. We didn't stay up very much longer after that, as we were all pretty tired, and Pancho gave up his bed for us to sleep in, and he slept on his couch! He's such a nice guy! The bed was super comfortable and we were asleep in no time!
