Kya Travels
We woke up this morning and I sat in the bathroom for a while charging our phones before heading back to the tent to pack up our things. We got our tent checked for spew or other disgusting things they check for, before getting our passports back, then we headed over for some breakfast. We found Amy and Jade and hung out with them for a while. They had apparently had an amazing day yesterday, apart from the fact they had both lost their bags and all their possessions! At least busabout had kept their passports! Someone had handed Jade's bag in, which was lucky, but Amy's was gone for good we think. After a bit we got on the shuttle into the city, then said goodbye to the girls, and walked down the street to the bus station. We found the ticket sales desk and asked for a bus ticket to Dortmund. He said the bus goes to Essen which is close, but the next available bus wasn't until the morning, so we headed back into the city and went back to the hostel that the shuttle had dropped us at. They had no vacancy, so we headed further up the street and asked at a few more hostels, and one had a vacancy for €100, so we thought we'd keep looking. We walked around a few blocks trying to find a cheaper place or somewhere with wifi to look online. Eventually we headed back to the first hostel to try use their wifi, which we couldn't connect to, but we asked them out of interest how much their rooms were. They were €65 each for a dorm bed, assuming its expensive because of Oktoberfest, so we went back to the €100 place, seeing as it seems like a good deal now! We booked ourselves into the dorm there, but it was too early to check in yet! The lady at the reception let us in though, to use the showers, which was so nice of her! We went down and got a glorious shower, we're finally clean! I waited on the couch for Darren, and by the time we were done, we could check in, so we dropped off our bags to our room, where we had a double bed bunk bed, which I've never seen before! We went back out and walked around the block to an Indian place where we got some food and hot drinks. I got an amazing chai tea, although they made it with sugar instead of honey! But it was still great, and the food wasn't so bad either. After our late lunch we went back to the hostel, where we crashed into our amazingly comfortable bed for a sleep, and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening snoozing, chilling out and using the wifi.
