Norway -day 6 (Wednesday)
Well, we are sitting on the veranda of the cutest little cabin right on the banks of one of the fjord. It is so cute and lovely space after our small cabins. There is even a place to fish...not that Andrew has a rod of a permit....see photo.
We have had a big day of driving...we started out by heading off in the direction of another glacier. We missed the turn off and ended up finding a lovely little town, Fjaerland. Andrew saw the church and pulled in to have a look and we stopped for a cuppa, sitting at a stone table and chairs by Fjaerlandsfjorden.
After backtracking we found our turn off and headed for our glacier. This one was quite beautiful but we couldn't get close to it like yesterday. On the drive out we saw another one that we hadn't noticed on our way in. We were too busy looking at the bigger one. We had some lunch with another beautiful view of the glacier and the fjord.
Packed back in the car we headed off in search of a scenic route the Jeremy had taken. Wow! What a drive. Hairpin turns and the road just dropping away. There was even more snow. It finished with a drive up a steep mountain to a spectacular view....1500m...
The weather has been quite pleasant today, although still quite cold.
