We arrived earlyish into Bangkok on the 1st, had breakfast just off Khao San Road and then checked into our hotel, which was the start of the tour down to Singapore. The hotel was lush, it had a tv and a minibar. We were pretty excited! As the welcome meeting wasn't until six we went back over to Khao San Road, did a bit of shopping, ate lunch, posted alot of our stuff home and did our washing. The meeting was pretty standard, everybody was really nice but most had been on tour already together so already knew each other, which was a bit weird for us. We all went out to dinner on Khao San road, then went to an Irish pub, where they had some live music. Kate went a bit mental when they played the Chilli Peppers, after that we had a cocktail from a street stall. Very bizarre and then went to a bar on a roof somewhere. I think it was called sunset terrace or something. We played drinking games there, which got us very drunk. So we all headed over to Gullivers, where there was a dance floor. We weren't there very long before it shut. We somehow lost the others and ended up with some random guys. Got even more drunk there then had crisps on the way home as a drunken snack. It was all we could find.

The next day we had to check out as in the evening we had to get the overnight train to Surat Thani. Kate slept til 11.30 and then had to rush to get ready. She felt really sick. We had lunch and hung around the hotel for a bit. There wasn't much we could do as we were leaving at 4.30. We all got taxis to the airport and got on the train. Had some donuts at the station, which were lush. Train journey was pretty standard, didn't get alot of sleep though as it was freezing on the bottom bunk!
