hi all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
from hervey bay we went to a small town called noosa. this place was a beatuifull little town and aparantly its one of the most expensive places in aus. when you arrive you can see why. there are houses backing onto rivers with tennis courts etc. and also the people there are the sort of people who have lots of money, if you know what i mean.
we stayed at a place called koalas which was not to bad. actaully on the way to the hostel we saw a koala moving about in a tree which was really nice to see.was an 7 bed drm and the people were cool. the next day we went to the beach which was gorgeous but heaving with people. but at least there was finally some surf!!!! wa hoo! i hired out a board and joined what seemed to be the millions of other surfers in the water. but it was nice. we had a nice day but there wasnt much to do in the evening so we just bummed around. after 3 days there we went on a canoeing and camping trip which was amazing!!!!!!
the bus picked us up but we had to wait as nobody was there to open our hostel. we then went off to pick up the other people. there were 2 girls from finland, 2 from italy,1 from america and 2 from new zealand. we pulled up to the grab our gear for the next few days. we then were taken to a boat to drive us across the river. we got the the other side of the river and a man gave us a quick breif on where to go and then gave us some canoes and left us!!!! umm. we went for a practise paddle down the river and that took about 50 mins so we turned round to paddle up stream against the wind. its was nackering and to make things worse the driver of the boat was none other then miss hannah baker!! we seemed to hit every tree possible on the river and zig zagged the length of the river. well we got back and then between all of us we had to take 5 tents aload of barrels with our clothes and food in and also the cooking gear and the 100 litres of water they gave us. we fianlly got sorted and paddled for 1.20 hrs to our base camp. was a lovely spot with lots of guana lizards roaming around and actually backs on to the river. was beautifull. after we set up camp all of us went for a dip in the river which was a strange and eairy red colour(its was from the die in the leaves) and also there have been sitings of bull sharks in the river which are quite dangerous so we all were carefull. after that me and hannah played a game with the new zealand couple which was similar to french boules but with a stone and 12 pinecones. after kicking there asses we all had a few glasses of wine and talked rubbish for a few hours and then had tea. it got dark real quick and by 9pm we were all in bed. before we went bed we established that the new zealand guy snored like b***** and 1 of the itlaian girls screamed in ehr sleep :-) weird. and to her word i heard her and the snorer.
the next day we got up(i was last) and set off for a 1 1/2 hr paddle up stream we did this and the views and stream was amzing, so calm and beautifull. we then got to our point were we set off on a 6km walk through the forest and up to a massive sand blow. the views from up there was amazing!!!! you could see for miles and it was gorgeous(we will up load the pics soon). then we walked the 6 km back and dived in the river. it was well deserved. we then paddled down the river stopping at any chance we couls to swim again. we got back had tea and were all nackard. we then got talking to another group of people who were doing the same thing they were all cool. again we went bed early 9.30pm. the views of the stars from the campsite must be some of the best in the world. we got up early the next day and paddled for 1 hr to get back to be picked up. so all in all this trip was brilliant and my favourite one so far. hannahs agrees aswell i think. i actually wish i was there. oh and also forgot to mention that in the morning there were a lot of kangaroos around the camp which were huge. i didnt go to close as didnt fancy a right hook from one.
so all in all was brilliant and then we went back to our room and then got ready for our trip to australia zoo the next day(thats steve irwins zoo)..........................................
