hey hey hey everybody. well since we last updated there has been a lot of rain and alot of not doing much.

we travelled down to a small village/town called mission beach. it has a huge beach along the way and about 15 shops. oh and a few hostels. we arrived and ot off the bus after a very quick 2 hour journey on the greyhound bus. we got off to find people offering accomodation so we talked to a smelly guy form finland with dreads and went off to beach shack hostel. well the hostel was lovely. huge great house type place with alot of beds around and a nice big kitchen and nice big pool. the owners very very nice and had some of the worst language i have ever heard.....funny though. they also had a big lounge area with sofas and a matress in the middle of the floor.

well the first day we got there we walked up the beach which is very long and full of signs recomending not to go in the water due to the very dangerous jelly fish. they have this all up the coast so they cordern off areas for you to swim. we walked up and had some grub in a litle cafe and then strolled back in the sun. on the wasy back we stopped in the local tourist place and booked a trip to a near by islnd called dunk island. we then headed back and bummed around the house for a bit. we then had tea and went bed etc.

the next mroning we woke to turrencal(think that's spelt right)/lots of rain and so we couldnt go to the island as had to ferry across the sea and it was so rough. so that day we sat and watched tele in the lounge as we couldnt really go outside. the next day pretty much went the same way. so those days we bascially sat watched tele and drunk a few beers!! nice and relaxing and unhealty, it flet liek a proper sunday. as there was not much to do we decided to catch the bus to townsville the next day. a few nice things about mission beach was it was a very laid back town and also we saw a bloddy great iguana on the last day. he was laying on the lilo by the pool. got a few pics to show of him. so all in all mission beach was nice but it hammered down.
