.......Well from Airlie Beach a 7 hour bus journy took us down to Rockhampton.

The steak capital of Australia!! Unfortunetly arriving on xmas eve and planning to try a steak on boxing day didnt happen. But im sure they are very tastey.As we arrived on xmas eve there wasnt a great deal open. So deturmin to have a xmas dinner (with gravey!) we went to the food market and bought everything we usually eat on xmas.There was another 8 people at our hostel all spending xmas together. Rockhampton is quite big and very spread out. They have a croc farm ,zoo and water park but couldnt make it to any because of the holiday season. But on xmas morning another hostel were taking some people to the local beach for a few hours and offered to take us there. So at 10.30am we all got thebus there with them and stayed until 4pm. Was weird to spend xmas at the beach , but was also a nice experience. There were lots of families camping there and having xmas dinner and bbqs. The lifegards even had xmas hats on. Once we got back to our hostel we did the normal xmas things and watched xmas tv and eat sweets , cheese and crackers ect.. until around 8pm then we sat down to have our dinner.Was so yummy! Was very bloated after it , but thats xmas dinner for you. the night was finnished off with eating more and having a drink or to infront of the tv. Very lazy , but very nice. After boxing day another lazy day , we had our bus booked up for our nxt destination......................
