Hey everyone!!
Hope your all well and not to cold back home in sunny England. he he sorry about that. Well we arrived in Byron on the 1st of feb and only took us an hour and a half from Surfers Paradise. An hour into the bus journey the driver told us to now put our clocks forward as we had just crossed the boarder. So we are now 11 hours ahead of you. We got to our hostel and settled in quite niceley. Byron was a lovely lil beach town full of friendly relaxed and layed back people. So much quieter than surfers. That suited us just fine. Whilst in Byron we managed do to another scuba dive and it turned out to be the best one yet , with 30 metres visibility!! We saw 4 tiger sharks , 2 turtles ,an octopus , stingrays and lots of fish!! Didnt want to come back up. ha ha.
We also took up a surfing for the afternoon with a local surf school. They picked us up and took us up the coast about 30 min drive away from Byron to another lovely beach . There were quite alot of people in the group but we still all managed to catch a wave. Infact kieran and i caught a few. Kieran more than me. . There was also a nice walk you could do up to the lighthouse in Byron. We attempted to do that a few times but never actually made it. The first time we took the wrong route and got so hot and ran out of water we turned back, another time we left a bit to late it the day and it got to dark to quick. But that didnt turn out to bad as we sat up on the dunes looking out along the beach watching the thunder and lightning coming across the sky. We spent about an hour there trying to catch it all on camera, but we were just not quick enough. The last day of our stay was a sunday and was also the first Sunday of the month so we managed to get to the monthly market held in a field down town. This was so nice more of a fate than a market full of different stalls , and different bands. I was in a que waiting to get my lunch when a band started up and everyone around just started jumping around and dancing! They loved it! Most of them hippies. All the food was organic , even the dohnuts! he he they were so yummy! We had a good look around sampling the food they had on offer before heading back to the hostel.
We didnt do much else to wright about in Byron other than relax and enjoy the surroundings. Byron Bay was such a lovely place , proberly one of our favourite places so far. We could of easily stayed a lot longer. If we had more time we definetly would of...
Well thats it for abit , kieran will be updating you soon with the last to places we have been since. Again hope your all well , lots of hugs and kisses Kie and Han x x x x x x x
