Saturday 8th August late pm - Bourton We had a very smooth trip home and soon pulled into our allotted parking space. Jannie got out and almost managed to lower the bollard so we were able to park. Saturday 8th August - pm Stratford upon Avon We got to Stratford about 12.30 and parked in a huge parking area very close to the centre of the town but on the other side of the river Avon. We had stayed here for one night when we came to Britain in 2010 and there was a carnival on at that time and millions of people to fight your way along footpaths so didn't get to see that much. Saturday 8th August -am Stow on the Wold We went up the A429 for about 8 miles to the hilltop village of Stow on the Wold. It's quaint like all of the villages in the Cotswolds and we originally tried to book our Cotswold accommodation here but after seeing the village up close and personal we were both agreed that we are really glad that we are in Bourton on the Water where our accommodation is right in the middle of the township.
