Sunday 9th August - am Chipping Norton
One of the reasons that we went to Chipping Norton was that it was on the list of things to see and do that our dear friend Colleen told us to do. So as we were going to Blenheim Palace for the day and Chipping Norton was on the way then it was going to be a coffee stop.
We parked in the middle of the town and walked up one side of the street and back down the other side looking for a coffee shop. It was Sunday and everything was closed. There seemed to be a lot of pubs in the town. This town was quite a big place compared with the villages that we have seen since getting to the Cotswolds. We found a deli cafe and went in for our usual. The chap and the girl behind the counter were very friendly and we talked about the town. Seems it is not a tourist town but a working town servicing all the surrounding farm area. It was the cutest shop and the variety of deli produce that it stocked was incredible. Coffee was good.
