Sunday 23rd August - Hop on Hop off bus

We had decided to do the Hop on Hop off bus thing today and as we knew where the buses left from headed in that direction and went to Costas for a coffee first.
There are 4 different coloured buses and you buy a ticket for one colour, meaning one route or all four which we felt was a bit of a wrought so picked the green service and climbed aboard. We went past the the Palace and the Parliament and headed up the Royal Mile. The lady on the commentary was very good and explained what it was that we were passing at the particular time.

It was very hot and we decided to get off once we had passed the Castle and head downhill to the Grassmarket and then up the other side to Greyfriars Bobby Pub plus Jan wanted to stroke the puppy's nose as is meant to be good luck.
