This morning, we drove to Haleakala National Park which contains the highest volcanic crater on Maui. There is an amazing road all the way to the summit and the views are spectacular. We were well above cloud level and had clear blue sky at the summit, which is at 10,023 feet. In the distance on the neighbouring island of Hawaii, we could even see Mauna Kea with its snow cap. This morning we found a little coffee shop for breakfast before driving on to Lahaina Town which we had bypassed previously. Lahaina is a bustling seaside village... Very touristy but historic as well. This was our last morning on the Big Island so we spent the time looking over the shops.
