Running out of time to do everything, we decided to go separate ways today. We got up early to catch a shuttle from the Tropicana to Henderson Airport. From here we flew on a small twin engined aircraft operated by Maverick Airlines to Grand Canyon Airport. It wasn't very crowded around Vegas in the morning. We supposed everyone was still asleep after a big night but there were still people playing the pokies of which there are millions.We soon discovered that there was a Monorail station at MGM next door and we thought that might be a good way to get around town. Today we had a very long day driving to Las Vegas. There was much breathtaking scenery on the way out of Yosemite including the particularly beautiful Tenaya Lake. Once away from Yosemite we travelled across some amazingly desolate country on long windy roads, up and down mountains in the desert. Today, we enjoyed breakfast at Tom's Diner on 81st Street which was made famous by the sitcom Seinfeld. After that we took the subway to the southern end of Central Park and replicated the photo Dean and Kim took when they were here.
