This morning, we had breakfast on Poipu Beach. While there, we noticed there was a large Green Turtle sunning on the sand and an endangered Monk Seal was resting at the water's edge next to a rock wall. A group of volunteers was placing signs to create an exclusion zone around each of these animals.
Next, we headed up to Waimea Canyon again. This time, the weather was much better and we took in some great views.
After that, we headed for the Wailua River where we went on a cruise with Smith's Boats to Fern Grotto. . On the way, and while there, we were entertained by a group of Hawaiian musicians and Hula Dancers.
After that we drove on a little further to Kapaa where we stopped to take some photos at the derelict Coco Palms resort. Once a favourite of Elvis Presley and other celebrities, it was damaged beyond repair by a hurricane in 1995 and has been left untouched ever since.
We headed back for afternoon tea at our favourite coffee shop, Koloa Mill, had a last look at Poipu Beach and went to an Italian Restaurant called Pizzetta for dinner.
