Headed an alternative way from Banff town - we headed to Cave and Basin for a designated walk.
On the way we saw a large male elk with huge antlers!
We had a lovely stroll, then came across the natural hot springs. I was amazed that the water was really hot, as I could see the steam coming from the falls!
We then ventured further and walked the Sundance Canyon trail which took around an hour to an hour and a half. At the end of the paved trail we came across a river and from there the trail was through woodlands where we didn't venture further as there was a poster on one of the trees warning that black and grizzly bears were in the area, so I s*** myself and we turned back!
I was amazed and jumping around like a little kid as we also saw three woodpeckers all in one day! They were amazing to watch and didn't seem bothered that we were watching them so close range!
