We had a lazy morning in Geelong. After pack up we drove down to Eastern Beach on Geelong's foreshore for a morning walk and a well deserved coffee. Eastern Beach has always been a nice place to take time out with its circular board walk and the many interesting painted bollards all the way along the foreshore, but this time it looked even more beautiful! Geelong felt and smelt cleaner than when I had lived here in the late 90's, the ocean at Eastern Beach was crystal clear and looked amazing on this beautiful sunny day. We sat and watched the Sea Plane fly around, which later we saw on the news that it crashed on landing in the sea this afternoon! I caught up with an old mate of mine last night and it felt like the old days all over again! We really enjoyed our short stay in Geelong, the atmosphere has improved a lot since some of the major polluting industries had closed down in recent years. Around midday we travelled to Melbourne to our pre-booked stay close Rob and Cathy. We plan to meet at Christie's place for lunch tomorrow. We will be staying in Melbourne till Friday when we plan to head north.
