Today we got up early, drove back to Townsville & caught the ferry to Magnetic Island. We hired a Tropical topless car to drive around the Island. Lochie is so excited about the 'cool pink car'. We went to the Bungalow bay Koala Sanctuary which was really lovely, very informative and interactive. Lochie got to see lots of animals, birds and reptiles close up. He finally got to see a real crocodile after talking about it for so long although he wouldn't touch it. He did touch a Koala, a turtle and a python. He had a ball. Tim also held the python although he didn't look too sure about it, but enjoyed the lizards and especially the Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo who really showed off when Tim was holding it. Magnetic Island is very beautiful with its rocky out-crops and it wouldn't take long to conform to the laid back lifestyle, absolutely awesome!
