Yesterday we visited Kuranda.
Wow, what an awesome day!
We got up early and headed for Freshwater Railway with Chook and Nat and their two children to catch the early train on the Kuranda Rail. It was a bit overcast and showery but when it's warm no-one cares. What a great experience for all of us. The train trip up was absolutely spectacular! Upon arrival a coffee was on order following a walk around the beautiful historic township of Kuranda. A few souvenir purchases and a good look around and it was already lunchtime. After a tasty burger and beer at the local Pub we boarded the Sky Rail back down. If the train was spectacular then the Sky Rail is mega spectacular! It is so high above the tree canopy, the view is amazing!! It's so quiet up there, that you can hear the birds singing in the trees, a truly awesome experience! Cairns is so beautiful you could stay here for months to experience all it has to offer!
