We arrived at Hospet and could not get off that damn train fast enough after 36 hours on the go, we were planning to get the local bus to Hampi but felt far too worn out to do that. We made the 11am train from Mysire to Bangalore after being stuck in the middle of a procession in the streets of Mysore in an auto-rickshaw and struggling to buy to a ticket and the mega busy train station. We found the Ikea of hotels in Mysore. They had thought of everything a traveller needs, a well kitted out room with a phone charger kit for a million models, a wonderful restaurant with sliding roof and live music every night, a swimming pool, oh and not a good thing but a small pipe attached to the rim of the toilets marked 'Jet Wash' I will stick to paper cheers.
