We thought we had seen some pretty impressive Tea Planations in Malaysia, turns out they were just baby ones compared to the sprawling hedges of Munnar. Varkala, just a stones throw up the coast from Kovalam but a world away. Its a bit of a backpacker place but is a really nice place to chill out with like minded people and away from the Indian tourists. We decided to do the big travel bit to the most southern point in India as we were a bit templed out and sick of the chaotic cities of Tamil Nadu. So 3 buses and 10 hours later we arive at Kanniyakumari (Cape Comerin) just as it was getting dark.
