We decided to do the big travel bit to the most southern point in India as we were a bit templed out and sick of the chaotic cities of Tamil Nadu. So 3 buses and 10 hours later we arive at Kanniyakumari (Cape Comerin) just as it was getting dark.
We did some sight seeing, Ghandi's memorial and a pretty cool temple and statue on its own little island. We spent longer queuing for the boat to the island than we spent on the island. It was definatley a tourist attraction for the thousands of Indian tourists that had flocked there. Never the less the sights were pretty cool and knowing that the 3 seas (Bengal sea, Arabian sea and the Indian Ocean) meet made it worth while seeing.
Apart from that it was not much else, just a place to be stared at and laughed at by some stuck up, wealthy Indain families.
I think I was in need of a western fix at this point. Thank god next stop is Kovalam.
