After leaving Hanmer Springs we headed cross country west to a little place called Punakaiki , I had a really uncomfortable nights sleep in Hanmer springs so on route to Punakaiki we brought some blow up beds from a place called the warehouse where we got our tent etc, it's really cheap. We arrived in Wellington yesterday afternoon we checked in to our hostel and had a walk around the city, we went to the look out point which was nice. I wasn't that impressed the city was a bit dated , so we just went out in the evening and had a few drinks, first time we have gone out really and would be rude not too as we are in the city . Yesterday morning we left lake taupo and headed down to Napier, on the way we stopped off at huka falls which was massive, it lets out 200 thousand litres a second I have never seen a river with so much water and so fast flowing it was mental. We checked in to our motel which was on the sea front it was really nice, the sand was a black sand beach which was really nice , we had a walk down the beach and learnt some history about Napier as there was an earthquake...
