When we arrived in Milford sound we had a drive around to see where we could stay the night, Dave found a hostel/ cabin lodge not far from the boat trip we had booked for the next day , the only rooms they had left was a 5 bed dorm room, we just said yes as it was only for one night. We got the key and took a look, OMG it was horrendous when we opened the door it was a tiny room with a big fat smelly boy asleep it stunk, I was like I can't stay here, so we got our money back and drove back to find something else.
About 30 minutes away from Milford sound we found this wicked place, it was in the middle of no where by a river in the middle of the forest and was like a hillbilly place. They didn't have any keys for the doors, it was basically a shed, the power shuts off at 10pm as it runs on a generator. It was mad there but was so glad we found it.

We sat by the river to do a BBQ but the sandflys were so bad so we had to move and just sat by are little shed , after about 2 hours ourBBQ wasn't cooking that well so had to use the gas one they had there, finally had dinner which was amazing burger, sausages, chicken and Tuna pasta. Dave did well!!
We didn't sleep that well that night as we was bitten alive by sandflys again fuming , it is the worst thing ever, we have all the spray and gel but still getting bitten it's a joke!!!

We was up early that morning for our boat trip though Milford sound, on the drive down like 5 mins after we left I went to Itch my neck and there was a bee hanging out of my neck, Dave had to pull over nearly crashing the car and get it off my neck , OMG it hurt so much , by this time I was bitten alive by sandflys and just been stung by bee so was so ready to get away from this side of the island.
Milford sound boat tour was mind blowing the mountains are so big, the boat went right up close to a water fall which was so good. You can't see from the photos how huge and steep they really are.
After are boat trip we headed back down to bluff which is about 4 hour drive as we have are 2nd attempt at the shark dive experience, on the way we stopped off at a few good photo opportunities.
I drove for the first time as Dave got leg ache it was only for half hour but was weird as haven't drove since we left home.
We found a motel for the night, we was going to camp but we got to be up at 6am for diving.
Well we checked in to motel OMG the owner was a nightmare they was so annoying they spoke for hours we couldn't get away from them and bare in mind it was 34 degrees we was so hot and just want to shower and have dinner.
We had another BBQ and just chill for the evening, once again the boy did good on the BBQ it was munch !!!

Today we was up and ready for are shark dive well prepared, food, book and iPad incase the Sharks where a no show.
It is now 11:16am and sharks are still a no show we have everything crossed that they come.
Nope sharks where a no show again the driver said he thinks the reason for them not coming is one got shot and is still in the sea so may be scaring them off the area. That was are last chance today as we need to make are way to Christchurch as we fly out on 9th Feb. Dave was absolutely gutted, Dave says oh well it's gives us a reason to go back to Cape Town South Africa!!!
