So yesterday morning we left waihi on route for Rotorua ( the stinky town). It stinks here of rotten egg due to the sulphur in the air because of all the volcanic activity in the area. We're in pain!!! Today we've had a very strenuous day, well for us we have. We started off the day by driving to a small town called waikino, were we hired a couple of bikes and set off for the karangahake gorge, basically a walk through the forest along the gorge which was really nice. After a amazing time in the bay of islands we left yesterday morning heading south for a small town called waihi which is famous for its gold mining. Today we headed up to 90 mile beach , on the way we stopped off to waipoua forest for a hike where we see tane mahuta (Lord of the forest) basically that huge tree!!! The beach was massive and we got to rip the car on it and I was like a big kid lol Luckily the weather was nice today so we got to see how nice the country really is.
