We left early and made our way to Lake Matheson to see the mirror reflection of Mt Cook & the Southern Alps on the lake, which was very close to the Fox Glacier. We continued driving until we reached Wanaka, complete with its own Lake and snow capped mountains. The township itself was lovely and we stayed in a really nice hotel with a bath! - such a treat! That evening we went to Red Rock to watch NZ play Australia in the Three Nations Rugby Final I was so close to winning the sweepstake until the end..!
