This morning Arber woke up & went quad biking whilst I had a lazy morning. We left Waitomo to make our way to Taupo- a place described as the adventure capital of the North. The weather was amazing so it was perfect for a sky dive! Me & Arber both did a 15,000ft skydive and it was unbelievable. We made our way up in this tiny plane and I was so nervous! I was first out of the plane and sitting on the edge was so scary but I was free falling out of the plane before I knew it! There was a minute of free falling with the air hitting your face at such high speeds before the parachute opened. Once it finally had opened it was amazing to see the view across the snow capped mountains, Lake Taupo and the town. The sky was so clear the views were stunning. I was allowed to steer the parachute and turning it made me feel pretty sick! We landed and I was really proud of us both- it was such an amazing experience. We all went out that night to Holy Cow to celebrate what we had achieved- it was so cool to go up in a big group and all experience the feeling together.
The following day we had a free day in Taupo and we headed to the spa park to make the most of the natural hot springs beside the river. The pools were so hot it was amazing! We were sweating despite the fact it was pretty cold outside! Arber decided to jump into the cold river to refresh himself. It was such a nice and well deserved relaxing day. We walked back and the scenery of Taupo was stunning.
