Another day in sunny London! We had a bit of a slower start to the day, getting up at 7am. Showers, A couple of failed attempts at a Skype date, breakfast and back onto our hop on hop off bus! First stop, tower of London. I've been there before, but Kristen hadn't so we spent a while there exploring. Amazing weather again, cheers London!
Next stop, the London Eye. The queue was huge, we had our bags checked and somehow ended up skipping the entire queue and jumping straight into one of the capsules! Lovely! The views from there are amazing. The amount of money that attraction must make is incredible! £18.50 per person. 21 people in our capsule. And I think just over 30 capsules on the eye. That's about £11,600 just in one rotation!
Back onto the bus & around the city again. It gets more amazing every time! The whole city is buzzing right now, there's patriotic flags hung everywhere for the queens jubilee. 60 years as queen is a pretty good effort. They then have Wimbledon and then the Olympics. It's crazy this year!
We stopped at Piccadilly circus and walked up regent street for a bit of window shopping before slowly making our way back to the hostel.
I had a successful powernap, unlike yesterdays! We got dressed & headed for dinner. Bulmers crushed berry cider is a good time! However my Greek salad at this pub is not! Mixed lettuce & cabbage, croutons, capsicum, tomato, cucumber, stuffed olives and Brie cheese? I don't think they've made one before. However Kristen's baguette looks delicious!
We have another full day here tomorrow, and we fly to Munich on Friday morning :)
It's a hard life!
