Sheffield! We arrived in by train at about 1pm on Friday and made our way to Hayley's. We got her key, put our bags in her cute flat and went for a walk around Sheffield until she got home from placement. How exciting seeing my favourite cousin again after 3 years! We had a cup of tea and sat in her lounge before getting ready to go out. We did a pub crawl around Sheffield that evening, starting at where Hayley works, right opposite her flat. Saturday we had a little sleep in, and then headed to Meadowhall for a bit of shopping. Back to the flat, we picked up Hayleys flat mate Laura and all went for a lovely lunch at Strada, a verrryy nice Italian restaurant- with Aunty Deborahs Tesco vouchers, thanks Aunty! After delicious anti pasto, and then a risotto we went back to the flat and packed our bags for the night. Off to Shepshed! We arrived at about 6pm, all got ready and then we (minus Harry because he was working) went to bonfire night. We had a drink by the bonfire, watched the fireworks and then went to the chippy for a bite to eat. I love English fish & chips! We picked up some wine on the way home and had a few quiet drinks at the house.
Sunday we were spoilt in the morning with a full English breakfast cooked by Aunty Deborah- yum! I even tried black pudding. We took Casey for a walk in a lovely park, luckily it was pretty shaded from the rain. We had a relaxed afternoon before saying goodbye & heading back to Sheffield. Hayley, Harry, Malaika and myself went to Wetherspoons for a pub meal for dinner, Harry then got on the train back to Leeds whilst we had a girly movie night at Hayleys flat.
Monday it was already time to say goodbye! Hayley headed off to placement early & we eventually jumped on a bus.
Next stop, Blackpool!
