Florence! The first night we arrived we went on an orientation tour, saw the stunning duomo and the main sights- including Michelangelo's David (well the copy, the real ones inside the museum). We went to a leather demonstration and had the chance to buy real leather- I'm too cheap for that though! And then went on to have a four course Italian dinner. Bruschetta, pasta, a choice of a beef stew or chicken dish, and then chocolate gelato. Yum! On to a cocktail bar afterwards, and to watch drunk people do karaoke- it's always a painful thing to witness. We had a fairly relaxed time in Florence. We spent our days wandering the town, getting lost down the many alleys, enjoying the gelato, doing some window shopping and taking in the sights. Our last night we met up with Aleesha again- that's the photo for this blog. I was still sick in Florence, lost most of my sense of smell and taste which is so frustrating so I rested a fair bit.
