Rome! We arrived back into Rome on Sunday evening and found ourselves upgraded once again. We bumped into Aleesha- who we met way back in Bruges & Amsterdam! So spent the evening catching up with her. Unfortunately we only had one day in Rome, so we spent Monday doing the tourist sights and wandering around. We visited the colosseum, the Trevi fountain- the picture for this blog-, the Spanish steps and a few other sights and ruins as we wandered between them all. We met Aleesha back at our accommodation and went back into town for dinner. We took on board the previous advice and asked a local where to eat for dinner and once again got a beautiful meal! We met up with another girl and between the four of us we shared two pizzas and two pastas, and started with bruschetta. Best meal I've had in italy, and it's definitely in my favourites for the whole trip. And it only cost €11 each! Backpackers budget :) fortunately we had enough room for gelato afterwards, also delicious!
We headed home soon after.
