Happiness Is The Road
I was on the move again today. I'm going back to Adelaide and to the caravan park by the beach at Semaphore. This is the same park that I stayed on when I was last in Adelaide a few weeks ago. I drove their via Woolworths to stock up and got there mid afternoon. I was really happy to be back here. I've only got 4 sleeps to go now until my beautiful Jay gets here. I'm getting very excited now. I went to check out the beach again and I walked in the sea all the way to the town of Semaphore about 3 kilometres down. There was a really great miniature steam train here providing rides along the foreshore. Louis would have completely loved it. Also there was a fairground ride called Cha Cha!!! The town of Semaphore is nice and cosmopolitan with a lot of restaurants and pubs and some nice shops. It's very hot and apparently getting back up to 40 degrees again in a day or two.
JINX - STORY 10
I got a cat called Jinx a few years ago. I found him through an animal charity. His elderly owners had become ill and moved into a home and could no longer care for him. He needed a new home and so it was that I found myself with Jinx. He was a ginger tom cat and he had this lovely white nose. With me and other humans he was totally soft and absolute sweetness and light. He would sit on my knee and purr all happy and contented. He loved humans but it was soon discovered that he absolutely loathed other cats. There were numerous incidents when there was a lot of cat commotion going on outside with hissing and crying and lots of running about. One day about five minutes after what appeared to be a particularly brutal battle Jinx was found inside the house curled up on his favourite cushion like butter wouldn't melt. He had bits of another cats fur in his mouth and between his claws! It soon became apparent that all the other cats in the area were scared of Jinx. No other cat would come in the garden. I saw the odd one traversing the back fence but they usually gave a nervous look into the garden to make sure he wasn't there. Once when he was outside in the road being carried in his plastic carrier another cat came by, took one look in the carrier, saw it was Jinx and legged it very fast!! He was like the local cat mafia boss! If you were a cat you didn't mess with Jinx.
