Lastnight no one in our room slept thanks to the two drunk Australian guys snoring, groaning and then at 5am letting their alarms go off non-stop for 30 minutes. I remembered why I hate hostels because of disrespectful people that think of only themselves. In the morning they were Ofcourse apologetic but it was too little to late. At 8am we headed over for breakfast and waited and waited only to find our guide had slept in and after 30 minutes we decided to get it organized ourself - the tour unfortunately is being incredibly badly run and our guide just doesn't give a s***. Breakfast was however a pleasant surprise of pancakes, donuts, scrambled eggs, fruits and tea - I ate myself silly in fear I might be faced with another in-edible meal like lastnight. After breakfast we got into our gumboots - unfortunately the biggest size they had was 43 and I struggled to get into them and had to take my socks off and Vaseline my feet just to get them on. We headed about 20 minutes upstream and then started our trek across the flood plain, we came to a marsh and started toddling through the waist deep sludge in search of anacondas. Our guide told us nothing and just took off so we all followed getting absolutely covered in mud. The sun was beating down hard and no snakes had been seen by over 20 of us. We stopped for a break so I removed my boots only to find 4 big blisters - at this point I decided I wouldn't try and get boots back on and sit and wait for the others whilst they explored the last marsh. I waited and waited and nobody came back; it turns out they had walked around my location and had expected to find me at the boat, when I wasn't there they went off searching for me however not thinking to check where they left me. They finally found me (didn't know I was lost), I apologized for any inconvenience I had caused and we headed back for lunch. Lunch was a real treat and once again I ate too much: soup, vegetables, bean and chicken salad, Beetroot, potato salad, lentils, rice and fried chicken. After lunch we all headed for the showers where I found four blood sucking ticks attached to my legs; luckily they hadn't buried their heads to deep and I was able to rip them off. After a short nap we headed up the river on the boat to swim with the pink river dolphins. When we arrived there were 3 other boats in the area and the dolphins were very scared and were not surfacing. A few people went in but as it was cold, dirty and had just started to rain I decided not to bother going in. On the way back we stopped at some kind of bar where we could buy drinks and snacks but once again it started to rain so we headed back to camp. We played a few games of UNO and enjoyed some Bolivian wine before dinner was served: mince meat, various salads, roast potatoes and pasta. After dinner everyone was super tired and decided to call it a night - all wrapped up in our mosquito nets and ready for bed by 9pm.
