Well our trip to Archerwill Saskatchewan was a long day - 1121 km. It didn't start off very well when our GPS was directing us to Hwy 1 from Okotoks and we ended up at a bridge near Arrowwood which was closed - in fact it had been closed since last year when there was the serious floods!
We finally got around that though. We did see a few animals - 2 elk and about 7 deer - 2 of which decided to run out in front of us.
There had been many days of rain in Sask and so the fields were flooded.
I must say that the drive along Hwy 6 which runs north from Regina is the straightest road we have ever been on - in fact it is straight for about 300 km!
Those Saskatchewan folks treated us very well. We got to visit with Murray & Diane, Sherril & Fred, Len & Marge as well as Irv & Shirley.
It was so nice seeing them all. At the get together a friend of theirs - Laverne - came over and played the guitar with Jack. It was a great time.
