What an awesome morning we had visiting John and Trish. First Jack went with John and his grandson Ben to deliver a pontoon boat to a marina. While they did that I visited with Trish and her sister Mary Susan - the two of them had gone swimming prior to that. They go every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Trish says that she does the exercises that Sharon from Barra taught her.
When the guys came back John took Jack on the "Bad Boy" back into the "timber". He showed Jack all of the trails that Trish walks on. Trish and I toured the house while they were gone and while we were in the "nursing home" which is actually a nice room with a wall of windows looking towards the "timber", a hot tub, a bed and lots of momentos we saw 3 deer run across the field.
We got on the road at 1:00 pm and continued on to Des Moins, Iowa - 293 km. We had a great visit there with other friends we know from Melaque - Deb and Joe. After we got the trailer set up we went over to Butch and Dave's farm - Dave is the guy that loves the song Old Shep. He brings us to tears when he sings it. Dave says he is a CB&M farmer - corn, beans and then Mexico!
We had cocktails there and then went to a really good Mexican Restaurant owned by a couple from Jalisco. It really is a small world. After nightcaps we had a good night's sleep.

Trish Alexander Good job, Sharon, keeping a blog of your trip. We were very happy you stopped to see us. You're right. I do recognize the Des Moines folks. Have a safe trip.
