Butterfly's, zip lines, long walks and cable car!
Today was a pretty action-packed day! After breakfast we came up with a plan and we were off to one of the coolest butterfly farms I've ever seen in my life. They had a bunch of pods set up where you could actually watch the butterflies hatching and while we were there we got to see three or four hatch. Pretty amazing so see!
After the butterfly farm we were off to do some zip lining! There was an option to do two out of a possible ten zips..... So we opted for the two! I think they were something like 350 and 450 m across a beautiful valley with great views. Mom was a little bit scared but she did it, loved it and I knew she would! After we finished the zips I had the great plan to walk up to the next attraction, hoping to be picked up by a passerby on the way there. It seems like a great plan except it was pretty much all uphill and the only cars passing us we're headed in the wrong direction....
I guess we walked about three quarters of the way there before a truck came along and we jumped in the back! There was a cable car run by a giant V-8 engine that takes you across a giant Valley to the other side where you start a three hour trek to see some waterfalls but we were in no condition to do anymore trekking. We asked the man if he can radio across to the engine guy and stop us in the middle of the valley so we could enjoy the view for a minute or two and he did, it was beautiful and a little frightening to tell you the truth!
After debating whether or not to start slowly walking back towards the town and hopefully getting picked up again we did and got picked up within 10 minutes by taxi. It was a pretty great action packed day!
