Hearts for a new life!!! Eduardo gave me a ride to the foundation just because he was a super nice guy and wanted too! Laura, from Spain was the only other volunteer there at the moment! Diego, Myra, and kids, Jhosselin, Melissa and Adreus are the family living on the property. Also, Scott, the dog! Super nice family!

Hitch hiked to Malacatos While I was standing on the side of the road waiting for the bus I decided to throw the thumb up and got a ride from a nice guy passing through. I had to stay in Malacatos for the night because I never got the address for the place I was going to volunteer. So I found Hostel Malacatos, right on the main plaza. Eduardo, the owner, was one very nice old man! Plus the rooms were nice and had really hot showers!!! Yay!

Zumba to Vilcabamba The last leg of the journey took about seven or eight hours but they were doing construction on the mountain road and some of it was actually paved some of the way which was nice. It was another amazingly scenic drive! I found a nice hotel and checked in, afterwards I went out to town to check out the festival, it seemed every town because of the holidays was having some sort of festival. Coolest border crossing of my life! This morning I said goodbye to my good friend Karina! I got on the 7 o'clock bus to Bagua Grande, then to Jaén by car, on to San Ignacio in another car, had lunch there waiting for three more people to have a full car to the border. It took about an hour to get a full car and we were off to La Balza, The scenery had been amazing all day and it just kept getting better! Peru and Ecuador are separated by a river at this border...
