Day 13 blog 12
Don’t you know it’s magic.
Well this a short blog as I said it would have to be magic and to us it was. We spent the morning traveling to Geneva then I thought I would just do a photo album of this place so while we walked around shot after shot of different scenes of the city. We had lunch at this great restaurant called Casanova, with Danielle and Michelle it was fantastic. It was sad to say goodbye and we are hoping that all stay well for Michelle and we see them next year.
We then went to our hotel and settled in did the blog catch up on the footy email and such. Shirley than decided we would go on an adventure to the old town. First by bus then by foot only because there had been a mayor accident on the bus route. While on the bus Shirley acquired the help of an elderly woman and her advice was right on the money , so it should have been, she had lived here all her life.
We found the old part of Geneva and we went all around it til eventually we needed to continue our tradition a wine in a new place, I had red, Shirley a white. We continued to explore and after about an hour started to head back to the hotel , but Shirley was hoping to have a potato rostie so slowly we checked most menu on our way back and then out of the blue the hotel edelweiss appeared ,there it Rostie ,we are going in .
It was if time had taken us back in time piano accordions, alp horns the cow bells and the saw player playing an Elvis classic “Can help falling in love with you. This was magical these show can cost up to 40 to 50franks each and we got it by chance. It was the prefect way to spend our last night in Switzerland. The photos and the short video in the video section of the blog will be entertaining.
Well that’s it for Switzerland see you all in Croatia
Love Shirley and John
