After a pleasant overnight flight from Heathrow we arrived at Bangkok airport. A taxi to our hotel was to cost about £35 so we decided to use public transport. This was to be our first experience of Thailands transport system! In all we had to get 3 buses to get to our hotel. However after the second bus we bit the bullet and took a taxi. Despite our hotels central location the driver had no idea where he was going and almost 3 hours after leaving the airport we eventually arrived at our hotel. After a hot shower we changed and headed out for dinner. Our road was bustling with street vendors selling Pad Thai and other culniry delights. The road was also lined with many restaurants so we decided to take this safer option and have a sit down meal.
