We arrived at our hotel 10am the following morning. The hotel was all we could have hoped for! Set within a secluded location surrounded by impressive mountains was the Phu Petra resort. The staff greeted us with what I think was an iced tamarind tea. Our bungalow was finished to an excellent standard and furnished with a large plasma tv and a super king size bed. I wasted no time and jumped under the covers sleeping for the rest of the day whilst Amy relaxed by the poolside. That evening we headed to to our resort of Aonang which is about a 5 minute journey from our hotel. The town itself was very touristy and a bit tacky with most restaurants serving 3 different quisines which I found a little concerning. However the town had a pleasant feel about it and the food was generally pretty good. The tuk tuks here were mopeds with a sort of side car attached. We were fortunate enough one evening to go in one which was fitted with a sound sytem and different flashing lights! The next few days we spent relaxing around our local beaches which we also shared with a large number of monkeys! I cannot remember the name but there was a particularly stunning beach nearby which you could only access by a long tail boat.
