After a comfortable and scenic journey on the jungle railway we arrived at the town of Jerantut where we got a taxi to the river. As we pulled up to the jetty a long boat was just about to leave and lucky for us we arrived just in time also getting the last seats! We were Both looking forward to Melaka as we had heard great things about it. The town was multicultural with its habitamts from Portugal, China, Malaysia, India and other parts if Southeast Asia which gave Melaka a really cosmopolitan feel. We only spent two nights here but managed to cover most of the sights on foot. To give our tired feet a rest we also took a boat trip along the canal whilst learning more about the history. We decided to walk to our hotel from the bus station with some directions from some friendly locals. There are two little indias in KL (Kuala Lumper) and we were staying near to the one within walking distance of the main sites. After another Indian curry we went back to our compact but smart modern hotel room and watched a film.
