Drove to Mossman Gorge and caught the shuttle bus up to the rainforest. Walked a 3km route around the canopy, across a suspension bridge and then along the forest floor. The sights were amazing.
Continued onto Lower Daintree, stopping for a spot of lunch at The Daintree Teahouse Restaurant before heading onto Bruce Belcher's River Cruise, hoping to spot some crocs! We saw an array of wildlife on the river cruise, including a few cormorants and egrits, 2 adult salt water crocodiles and 2 baby crocs (all at different points along the river), some mangrove trees and a beautiful blue kingfisher.
Stopping off at Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery, we partook in a few tastings (it'd be rude not to) and bought a couple of bottles of port before heading back to Port Douglas.
Watched the sun setting across the marina at Port Douglas whilst having a glass of bubbly. Then went to Hemmingways Brewery for Lisa to check out the beers (while I enjoyed some cider) and had a tasty stone fired prawn and pancetta pizza! Tasty!
