The Legends show that we went to on Monday night was really good - Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, The Blues Brothers, Tina Turner and Elvis - great impersonators, great voices! We are working our way through the free shows at casinos - animal habitat at Flamingo, gardens at Bellagios and more to come. We are also seeing other free shows, karaoke in bars - some good voices, characters on streets and the free shows that aren't worth mentioning.....on a daily basis!
On Tuesday we returned the car - a funny feeling being without wheels after getting ourselves around for so long. we drove 4400 miles in 3 weeks.
The weather continues to be great-time by the pool, the humidity has dropped which is nice. Deciding which casino to go into each night is fun although we're not really into the restaurants of buffets - the buffets are expensive, as is most of the food here. We've eaten at great places on the road and some of the food here would spoil that experience.
Last night we went to see Cirque Du Soleil's Mystere at Treasure island Casino. The show was great, equal to any in Australia that we've probably paid twice as much for. We were enthralled by the acrobatics of the performers. After the show we wandered out onto the strip and down to Mirage to see the volcano erupting - a stunning display although the fire was a bit too hot! After that we went back to Treasure island to see the pirate ship battle - again a good show. Both of these casinos are about a mile
Down the strip from where we're staying so we started the warm walk home.
While in Vegas we've tried to go into all the casinos along the strip to see what they're like. Tonight we might head back to Paris or Planet Hollywood - both fairly close. Our time in Vegas is coming to an end- an early airport start on Saturday then we'll explore Hong Kong......see you there!
