Susan What a thrilling trip this has been. I loved hearing about the turtles - I had no idea there were so many varieties of sea turtles. I'll bet the wedding parties were gorgeous. I once saw a Korean party when I stayed in a hotel, and the clothing was so beautiful. I hope your property at home was safe in all that rain!

Susan Oh, too bad you didn't have one more day to see the height of the festival! I know there were many things awaiting you at home, and you are happy to be there again.
re: Melbourne, VictoriaSusan You have been getting in a lot of walking. You must be getting good muscles!

re: Colombo, Sri LankaSusan How interesting! I always like touring factories, farms, ranches, anywhere that shows how things are done.
re: Nuwara Eliya, Sri LankaSusan How exciting to see all those animals! Too bad about the leopard, but I don't suppose there are all that many of them in the wild any more.
re: Yala National Park, Sri LankaSusan This sounds really lovely. In honor of your trip, my son and I had curry at the Sitar restaurant the other day. =)
re: Galle, Sri LankaJill Reading We certainly are having a great time and seeing so many interesting things. We're also enjoying the warm weather!
re: Kandy, Sri LankaSusan I love the photo. Thanks for posting that one. This sounds like such a lovely, lovely holiday you are having.
re: Kandy, Sri LankaSusan I always wonder how I'll do with foreign food. It sounds as if you did well! I probably would have overstocked on delicious baked goods.
re: Passikudah, Sri LankaSusan You look like you are getting pretty friendly with the wildlife there! It sounds like a wonderful day, and isn't it a good thing to have a sense of humor?
re: Kandy, Sri LankaJan Maxwell I just read your previous blog, while I am printing them for Mum & saw the answer to my question about the original Opry. Your visit there would have been really interesting knowing that Dad had been there in the 60's.
re: Opryland, Nashville, TennesseeJan Maxwell Your night at the Opry sounds really great! I bet it made you think of Dad, who was there many years ago. Mum said it has moved into a new building. Could you still visit the original Opry or did they pull it down & re-build on the same spot? Enjoy the rest of your trip & keep the blogs coming. xx
re: Opryland, Nashville, TennesseeKate Love hearing about your trip Jill, wish I had had time to continue with it but was way to tired at the end of every day and back on the road first thing in the morning. Keep up the good work and enjoy, we we could have stayed on with you!
re: New Orleans, LouisianaJan Maxwell Hi Jill and Peter. It is great that we can see where you are and what you are doing. It sounds really nice and relaxing on the ship, with food, drink and entertainment at your doorstep. Look forward to hearing more about your travels. Love Jan xx
