Yesterday we rode the streetcars in New Orleans, firstly travelling on the garden line past all the grand houses then changing to the line that went up Canal St and stopped at City Park. Here we went to the Morning Call Cafe and again enjoyed coffee and beignets as well as gumbo and jambalaya. We spent yesterday steam boating along the Mississippi from Memphis. It was a lovely slow day, good for us to rest after a long day of flying last Thursday. We were able to get acquainted with the boat, catch up on washing and chat to various people we had met. We have allocated seating for dinner but can have breakfast in our room, in the dining room or at an outdoor cafe.
