Around the World Forever
After four days of trying and four days of absolute failure to get to Ranthambore National Park where it is rather common and easy to see a Bengal Tiger in the wild, I decided it was not meant to be. I will have to be happy with tigers on the Discovery Channel or in the zoo. A cargo train on the main Delhi to Mumbai line derailed and blocked the route, sending our travel plans into a downward spiral of cancellations and difficulties we could not overcome even after four days of trying to outwit a system we barely understand to begin with. Finally, after getting stuck in a no-where-ville called Bharatpur, we bailed out and headed down to Orchha. The one good thing that came out of all this is sitting around and waiting in train stations is the photography of the various people we met. If the Indians can ask us for our photo, then it's time to get their portrait as well. Some of that effort is shown here in this otherwise boring and uneventful entry.
