After two months in Nepal's mountain country, Goa is all about relaxing at the beach. Palolem Beach was my favorite. Not only was it perfect to look at, I loved the simplicity of all the beach huts. If only everything in life could be this simple. I really enjoyed just walking around and taking pictures of them.

Palolem does have its downside. There's one annoying restriction here for which a local entrepreneur has found an innovative solution. At 10:00 PM each night, all amplified music must be turned off. The police strictly enforce this as they have nothing else to do. That's pretty early to shut down live music and DJ's. The solution? A Silent Disco. Party goers are handed headphones through which the option of three music channels are broadcast. For the outsider looking in, one sees a lot of people dancing to... silence. And with three channels to select from, no one really appears to be following the same rhythm. It's strange, but oddly functional.

Seafood here is amazing and as luck would have it, I accidentally stumbled into the restaurant known to have the best chef in the state of Goa on my first night here. Well the point of coming back to India a second time is to see the south. Next stop, more south than here I guess...
