Around the World Forever
Singapore is so clean, safe, modern, and organized it's like not even being in Asia. It's also freaking expensive! The good thing is that it's easy to get around and explore. There's a lot to see and do in this small city-state of five and a half million people and I didn't even scratch the surface in the few days I had here. But perhaps I'll swing through again in the future. The airport here consistently wins "Best in the World" year after year so perhaps it's a better hub than Bangkok, which is my usual go to airport to access this side of the planet.
For the the people who live here and especially the foreigners that get to work here, it's the perfect combination of Asian culture with all the amenities of living back home. And with such a good airport, you have access to all the places considered beach paradise anywhere in South East Asia. I was based in a hostel in Little India but with the metro, you can go anywhere in air conditioned comfort. Super Tree Grove and drinking a pricey Singapore Sling in Altitude, the world's highest rooftop bar, were my highlights.
Finally, after years of hearing about the paradise that is Bali, Indonesia, I'm on way there for a month.
